Join Mommy Lounge on September 20th for a fun morning of imagination, creativity, and connection as we explore the power of Dramatic Play at the Children's Museum!

​

Dramatic play encourages children to use their imaginations, take on different roles, tell stories, and explore the world through pretend play. Through make-believe experiences, children can build communication skills, confidence, creativity, and social-emotional development while having fun.

​

During this event, infants and toddlers will enjoy developmentally appropriate pretend play and sensory experiences that encourage exploration, interaction, and curiosity. Older children will participate in imaginative play experiences that encourage storytelling, creativity, cooperation, and social connection.

​

We will also be hosting a Costume Swap! Families are encouraged to bring gently used children's costumes they have outgrown and swap them for something new-to-you! 

​

As always, this Mommy Lounge event is an opportunity for families to connect with one another, build community, and enjoy a welcoming space where children can learn through play while caregivers build meaningful relationships.

​

We can't wait to play, imagine, and grow together!

​

Families are welcome to arrive as early as 9 a.m. and stay until 4 p.m. Our group session will begin in the reserved private room at 10 a.m., featuring a 30-minute facilitated play talk followed by open exploration. After the playgroup, families are encouraged to explore the museum until 4 p.m. Families who attend the playgroup will receive free admission to the museum for the day.

 

All ages are welcome, allergen-free snacks will be provided, and bilingual support will be available.
